The hard part of climate isn't the target. It's the transition.

We support governments, development partners, businesses, and communities in navigating the practical realities of climate and sustainability transitions.

Our work connects climate policy with implementation — examining how climate risks, markets, institutions, livelihoods, natural resources, and investment interact, and helping clients design responses that are environmentally credible, economically viable, and socially inclusive.

What we do

Five service lines focused on turning climate ambition into practical action.

01

Climate policy, governance and implementation

We support the translation of climate commitments into policies, institutions, programmes, and implementation arrangements. Our work includes climate policy analysis, NDC implementation support, institutional and governance assessments, policy coherence, implementation planning, stakeholder coordination, and analysis of the regulatory and institutional conditions required for effective climate action.

02

Climate adaptation and resilience

We design, assess, and evaluate strategies and programmes that strengthen resilience to climate risks and shocks. Our work includes climate vulnerability and resilience assessments, adaptation programme design, climate-resilient agriculture, water and natural resource management, livelihoods resilience, locally led adaptation, and evaluation of adaptation interventions.

03

Natural resources, biodiversity and landscapes

We support programmes working at the intersection of ecosystems, natural resources, livelihoods, and economic development. Our work includes natural resource governance, biodiversity and ecosystem assessments, landscape and watershed approaches, protected area and community-based resource management, and programme design and evaluation where conservation outcomes depend on the incentives and livelihoods of people who use those resources.

04

Just transition and climate-compatible development

Climate transitions create economic opportunities, but also costs, trade-offs, and distributional consequences. We analyse how climate policies, technologies, regulations, and changing markets affect businesses, workers, producers, communities, and regions — helping clients understand who gains, who bears the costs, and what policies or programmes can support a more equitable transition. Our work includes distributional analysis, livelihood and labour-market implications, stakeholder analysis, green enterprise and value-chain opportunities, and transition strategy.

05

Climate finance, sustainable investment and programme readiness

We help clients translate climate priorities into investable and implementable programmes. Our work includes climate finance landscape and opportunity analysis, concept and programme development, investment and partnership assessments, results and monitoring frameworks, climate-finance readiness, and support for programmes seeking to mobilise public and private capital for climate and sustainability objectives.
