Safeguarding

Our commitment to protecting the people we work with, and how to raise a concern.

Our commitment

Praxsys Associates is committed to safeguarding everyone who comes into contact with our work, including research participants, communities, partners, clients, staff and consultants. We take particular care to protect children and vulnerable adults.

We have zero tolerance for sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, and for any other form of abuse, exploitation or harm, by anyone working on our behalf.

How this applies to our work

Much of our work involves research and evaluation with communities and individuals. In all of our assignments we:

  • seek informed consent, and make clear that participation is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time;
  • follow additional safeguards when working with children and vulnerable adults;
  • protect the privacy and confidentiality of the people who share information with us;
  • design data collection to avoid causing harm or distress; and
  • make sure staff and consultants understand what is expected of them and how to report concerns.

Expectations of staff and consultants

Everyone who works for or with Praxsys Associates, including associate consultants and field teams, is expected to uphold our safeguarding standards and to report any concern, suspicion or allegation promptly. We also follow the safeguarding requirements of our clients and partners on each assignment.

Raising a concern

If you have a safeguarding concern about anyone working on behalf of Praxsys Associates, please contact us at info@praxsysassociates.com. You can raise a concern confidentially.

We will treat every report seriously, respond promptly, protect the confidentiality of those involved as far as possible, and take appropriate action, including informing relevant clients, partners or authorities where required.

We will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
