About the Role
As a Research & Data Analysis Intern at Praxsys Associates, you would support ongoing research and advisory assignments by conducting quantitative data analysis, exploring secondary data, and producing analytical reports. You will work closely with project teams to clean, manage, and analyze datasets related to economics, agriculture, and development, and contribute to the preparation of tables, charts, and analytical summaries.
You will support study-level analysis and reporting, assist with the analysis of large-scale secondary datasets for publications and blogs, and provide data-driven insights for research reports, policy notes, and knowledge products. The role offers hands-on experience in applied research within a consulting environment, with opportunities to strengthen analytical, writing, and professional research skills.
Requirements
You are a final-year student or fresh graduate in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a related field, with a strong interest in agriculture, job creation, and development research. You are comfortable working with quantitative data and analytical tools (e.g., Stata, R, Python, SPSS, or advanced Excel) and can translate analysis into clear tables, charts, and written insights. Preference will be given to candidates with academic research outputs such as a thesis, dissertation, working paper, or published research. You are detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
